I have tracked the problem down, to doing the following...

With both bugs I have found, It seems that editing the same object twice in a row causes them both...

Bug #1
======

1. Buy a scroll

2. Write out the scroll

3. Take the same scroll, and choose to rewrite it, it will crash upon hitting the "End" key after entering any title... CTD..

After this bug occurs, the scroll/book will remain named "A Blank Scroll/Book" regardless of what you tell it to use, though the text appears in it...

Fix #1
=====

1. Remove *ALL* MWE plugins... (its probably a specific one, but I haven't figured out which one yet, so I just removed them all, as removing AWE did not fix the problem)

2. Load your save, answer yes to all of the errors, the save again...

3. install alll the MWE stuff again...

4. Play the game

This bug isn't terrible, but you do permanently lose the ability to name your book, or scrolls till you do the fix...

Starting a new game, or reverting to old saves does not fix this problem, only the above fix, resolves the issue...

Note: This is an inventory specific problem it seems, further -*test*-('")ing showed that dropping the book gave it the proper name, but picking it back up, returned it to "A Blank Book", very, very strange things occuring here..

Note2: Upon even more -*test*-('")ing, changing cells caused the book to have the proper name, seriously, I think this bug needs some investigation..

Bug #2
======

Do the same thing as reported in bug #1, only name the scroll, "A Blank Scroll"

This time its really broken.. The savegame refuses to load(CTD), even though no changes were made to it, you can start a new game, and save, but you cannot load that save either... All you get are CTD's, until you follow the steps in the fix below...

This is a very nasty bug, that needs addressed..

Fix #2
=====

I use v1.6 of MWE btw.. Morrowind, Tribunal, Bloodmoon, la-*test*-('") patches, etc..

and these mods..

Combat Enhanced
Journal Enhanced
Blocking Enhanced
Oblvion Style Spellcasting(might use MWSE, not MWE, not sure,)

If you need more information, and cant contact me here, email me, as I check it pretty routinely...

Peace

Interesting. Although, you may want to post this on the Official TES forums, Here, as these forums don't see a lot of traffic. Cid88, and Tonto101 have not posted here in months.

I tracked it down to being incompatible with fliggerty's(sp?) Oblivion style spellcasting mod, after removing that mod, it started working correctly, so I don't know, I kind of liked that mod too... sad.gif

Maybe messing around with the load order will fix it....

AWE is stll a little crash prone, but at least I can load up my savegame after a CTD occurs..

Peace

Go here, and let Flig know what you have discovered, and my guess is he will fix it. Quickly. He is just kinda like that. (a VERY nice guy, and an extremely talented scripter.)
